TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BUSINESS
Disclaimer:
Soteria Salus makes all reasonable endeavours to safeguard the confidentiality of clients. Site Audits and Inspections are performed on the specified premise and therefore only highlight the deviations that are observed on that premise. This neglects the fact that same or similar or other deviations would be found at other premises that the company operates. Thus the Corrective Actions would need to be implemented where applicable or lacking on the other premises.
Findings and deviations issued on reports are based on the OHSA (Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations) and on a SHEQ management system according to Soteria Salus’s working knowledge of Management Systems implemented in South Africa. This does not guarantee that all deviations to other standards and legislation (i.e. COID Act, BCE Act, NBR Act, NEMA Act, etc.) have been identified and Soteria Salus accepts no liability in this regard. The deviations and findings are specific to your company and can not be used for other companies to implement elsewhere.
The reports are compiled based upon information collected by Soteria Salus. Although every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of data reported, Soteria Salus accepts no liability for any damage suffered by any person including patrimonial damages, consequential loss or any other damage of any nature arising out of any information contained in the reports.
Terms of Agreement - FEES :
AUDITING SERVICES
Construction Site Compliance Audits –R 2 750 per site
- Performed on the specified premise for scope of works
- Includes a signed hard copy of the Audit Findings Report
- Includes a Monthly Findings Report to the Client CHSO / PM
- Electronic pdf copy sent via email
Gap Analysis Audits – R 3 750 – R 9 250 per site (company size dependent)
50% deposit required up front
- Performed on the specified premise to highlight deviations for compliance
- Includes a signed hard copy of the Audit Findings Report
- Electronic pdf copy sent via email
OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY FILE SERVICES
Initial Safety File Compilation – R 4 000 to R 10 000 dependant on risk category
50% deposit required up front
- Created for the specified project / premise
- Includes a hard copy for site (soft copy of the file available on Dropbox)
- Reprint copies for the same site will be charged for @ R 1 250
- Initial File Training and signatures will be done for free
Secondary files– R 2 250 to R 4 250 dependant on risk category.
50% deposit required up front
- Created for the specified project / premise
- Includes a hard copy for site (soft copy of the file available on Dropbox)
- Reprint copies for the same site will be charged for @ R 1 250
- Initial File Training and signatures will be charged for @ R 1 500
Vehicle Mobile files – R 1 500 to R 3 500 dependant on risk category.
50% deposit required up front
- Created for the specified vehicle
- Includes a hard copy for site (soft copy of the file available on Dropbox)
- Reprint copies for the same site will be charged for @ R 950
- File Training and signatures will be charged for @ R 1 500
IMPLEMENTATION SERVICES
Daily Rate : R 3 500 (based on an 8 hour day)
- Hourly rate of R 750 per hour will be applied after 8 hours.
- Excludes travel over 50km per day
- Excludes accommodation expenses if applicable / where required to travel out of Johannesburg
(Monthly Inspections / Auditing )
Hourly Rate :
- R 1000 for the first hour for site work (includes km travelled)
- R 750 per hour after the first hour.
- Excludes travel over 50km per site
- Excludes accommodation expenses if applicable / where required to travel out of Johannesburg
(Risk Assessments / Investigations / DOL Queries / Training Inhouse)
FOOD PREMISE AND BUSINESS SERVICES
COA (Certificate of Acceptability) - for the Business Normal Trading Hours
50% deposit required up front
- R 3 750 per site
- Excludes travel over 50km per site
- Excludes accommodation expenses if applicable / where required to travel out of Johannesburg
Fire Plan Approval
50% deposit required up front
- R 2 750 per site
- Extra floors will be charged for @ R 1 500 each
- Includes Fire Approval costs at Fire Department of R 400 per floor
Business License
50% deposit required up front
- R 2 750 per site
- Excludes Business License costs at Various Councils - these vary per department
- Excludes travel over 50km per site
- Excludes accommodation expenses if applicable / where required to travel out of Johannesburg
NOTICE PERIOD / LEGAL :
In order to cancel the contract at least a full calendar months notice will be given to Soteria Salus, in order for Soteria Salus or its representatives to complete and hand over all the work which is complete.
Soteria Salus will not be liable for any legal charges incurred or for the recovery of any fees, should the client be involved in such costs.
PAYMENT TERMS :
Our fees are payable within 7 days of presentation of invoice.
Interest at 9% (nine percent) per annum can / will be charged for accounts that are unpaid after 30 calendar days from the date of the invoice being sent to the Client i.e. from date of invoice.
All consultations are performed with the client under the conditions outlined above and email confirmation of work being performed will be taken as acceptance of our “Terms and Conditions” of Business as outlined above. The terms are reviewed and communicated annually to all Clients.
